I thought that this article was quite interesting. I do agree with the fact that you cannot believe everything that is on the internet. As an upcoming teacher, reading this article was a good reminder for me of how important it is to be careful with what I bring into my classroom that I have found off the internet.

It is odd that the teacher did not question the website's solution when preparing to teach the lesson. You would almost think that she would have done the problem herself before getting the kids to do it. I know for myself that I always do the problems before I give them to my students -mostly becuase I don't want to look dumb becuase I didn't take the time to figure out the problem for myself.
ReplyDeleteExactly! She doesn't strike me as a very top-notch candidate teacher. But hey, maybe it's a good warning to take note of. Maybe I would do the same in a pinch after all.
ReplyDeleteI would never put my students in that situation. Its enough there are struggling students and to put them in this type of teaching scenario.. It's crazy.
